Various campus constituencies work to raise money and design solutions in their areas of operation, resulting in the creation of more low- and no-cost dining options, an expanded food pantry, the Montclair State Campus Community Garden and more.
In 2019, the opportunity for OSHE Hunger-Free Campus designation provided the impetus to bring key stakeholders together to create a task force that would work to eliminate student hunger in a more coordinated manner, as indicated in the vision, mission statement, and member list of the Hunger-Free
Campus Task Force
- Vision: Food insecurity and hunger will be eliminated at Montclair State University.
- Mission: To promote a comprehensive and unified approach to achieving food security at Montclair State University through research, education, and engagement.
